Written and directed by Jenkins, Moonlight stars Trevante Rhodes, André Holland, Janelle Monáe, Naomie Harris, Ashton Sandres, Jharrel Jerome and Mahershala Ali.

It’s backed by A24 and Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment with Jeremy Kleiner, Dede Gardner and Adele Romansk producing. Sarah Esberg, Tarell McCraney and Pitt exec produce.

Moonlight is one of those life-affirming films that immerses you in its universal themes and kaleidoscopic view of life but told with such emotional intimacy, delicacy and beauty that no one could fail to be moved in a way that is surprising and unforgettable,” said Altitude founder Will Clarke.
