Exclusive Clip Of Jonathan Sheldon’s Political Satire ‘Swing State’ – AFM

VMI Worldwide

EXCLUSIVE: Here’s an exclusive look at political comedy Swing Statestarring Taryn Manning, Sean Astin, Angela Kinsey, Billy Zane and Ted Levine. The film follows a bohemian Seattle DJ who uses his on-air charisma to create a fictitious conservative radio personality that becomes an overnight sensation.

Pic has been sold to The Orchard and Netflix in the U.S. and VMI Worldwide is selling remaining territories to international buyers at this year’s American Film Market.

This clip features a scene between the fictitious radio personality Charles Fern (Alex Beh) interviewing conservative firebrand Ann Alcott (Elaine Hendrix).

“Given today’s global political state of mind, we’re excited for AFM buyers to see Swing State following The Orchard and Netflix’s U.S. release,” said VMI Worldwide president Andre Relis. “The film is a comedic and timely commentary on the influence that power-hungry personalities, even if exaggerated or fully fictitious, can hold.”

Director Jonathan Sheldon said: “It’s about an opportunist who games an anxious electorate for personal gain. As the real presidential election was shaping up this year, I pushed Swing State through post-production so that Charles Fern, our absurdist conservative commentator, could have his message heard.”
