Fox Sets More Midseason Premiere Dates, ‘Rosewood’ Moves To Friday, Thursday Becomes Unscripted

Fox has locked in two more nights for midseason with revised lineups, Thursday and Friday, as the network has announced a slew of more premiere/return dates.

Rosewood‘s stay on Thursday will be short-lived. The drama, which has been struggling in its new Thursday 8 PM slot, will move to Friday 8 PM starting January 6. It replaces MasterChef Junior in the hour, paired with Sleepy Hollow, which had been assigned the Friday 9 PM berth in May.

With the final season of Bones, originally slated for a midseason run Thursdays 9 PM, recently relocated to Tuesday 9 PM, and Rosewood headed to Friday, Fox is going for a clean winter slate on Thursday, which will feature an all-reality (and all-cooking) lineup with Hell’s Kitchen s/MasterChef Jr. and new series My Kitchen Rules, announced at the upfronts. This will be the first-time Fox has had an all-unscripted Thursday in-season since fall 2008, when the network aired back-to-back episodes of another cooking show, Kitchen Nightmares.

Monday is staying as previously scheduled, with 24: Legacy anchoring the night at 8 PM after a post-Super Bowl launch, leading to new drama APB.

Fox has yet to set dates for the Prison Break reboot, tentatively slated for a spring run in the Tuesday 9 PM slot; for Shots Fired, penciled in for Wednesdays 8 PM in the spring; or new comedy Making History, which is supposed to launch Sunday at 8:30 PM in midseason.

Meanwhile, the network has yet to make decisions on additional episodes for ratings-challanged new fall dramas Pitch and The Exorcist. Pitch will wrap its original 10-episode run with a December winter finale. Neither of the two shows is featured on the Fox winter schedule. Any additional episodes, if ordered, won’t debut until spring.
