Paramount Lands James Coyne Sci-Fi Pitch ‘Cascade’

EXCLUSIVE: Paramount Pictures has acquired a sci-fi feature pitch from scribe James Coyne titled Cascade. It will be produced by Guy Ritchie and Lionel Wigram’s Ritchie/Wigram Productions in a reteam of sorts — the screenwriter had been attached to the third installment of Warner Bros’ Sherlock Holmes franchise before they went with the writers room approach, and Coyne also wrote a draft of Treasure Island for them.

Eighty Two Films’ Braden Aftergood is also producing Cascade. Jeff Ludwig will oversee on behalf of Ritchie/Wigram.

Coyne is repped by Gersh and Felker Toczek.
