Oscar Isaac Life Itself

EXCLUSIVE: Oscar Isaac has been set to star in Life Itself, the FilmNation Entertainment and Temple Hill co-production that Dan Fogelman wrote and will direct with production to begin by spring. Isaac will play the catalyst character who triggers an ensemble multi-generational love story that weaves together several characters whose lives intersect over the course of decades from the streets of New York to the Spanish countryside and back.

FilmNation will fully finance, produce and handle international sales for the film after acquiring it as a spec in August. Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey will produce with FilmNation and Fogelman. WME is handling the U.S. distribution rights.

Fogelman’s credits range from Cars, Bolt and Tangled to Crazy, Stupid, Love, Last Vegas and The Guilt Trip. He made his directorial debut on Danny Collins and has been engaged with his freshman NBC hit drama This Is Uson which he is executive producer and writer.

Isaac fits Life Itself into a busy schedule. He’s got a small role in the George Clooney-directed Suburbicon, and is waiting to star in the Steven Spielberg-directed The Kidnapping Of Edgardo Mortara. This after rejoining his Ex Machina director Alex Garland in Annihilation and reprising in Star Wars: Episode VIII. He’s repped by UTA and Inspire Entertainment.
