‘The Voice’: Top 12 To Be Chosen In Real-Time On Live Playoff Show

For the first time, The Voice will reveal the Top 12 finalists during a live two-hour special episode via real-time voting.

During the live telecast on Monday, November 7 from 8-10 PM, the Top 20 artists – five artists per team – will all perform on one night for a spot in the Top 12. During the telecast, which also marks Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys first live show appearance, fans will be able to advance two artists per team into the Top 12 via The Voice official App and Twitter, and results will be revealed the same night.

Throughout the show, coaches Cyrus, Keys, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will then make the decision to save one artist each to complete their roster, while the others are sent home. The remaining 12 artists will then move on to the final live-show phase of the competition, which begin on Monday, November 14.

During the live playoff telecast, viewers can cast up to 10 votes per artist per team via The Voice official app, which is available for download on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore, or they can vote through Twitter at the show’s official handle @NBCTheVoice.

Viewers in the Eastern and Central time zones will be able to watch and vote during the live show. Viewers in the West and Mountain time zones will also be able to cast their vote on the app and tweet their choice at the same time as the Eastern and Central time zones if they are following the @NBCTheVoice handle, which will announce which artists are eligible.

The Voice will also go behind the scenes with four Facebook Live segments hosted by Jeff Dye (NBC’s Better Late Than Never). After the voting results and coach save from each team are revealed, the three remaining artists on each team will sit down with Dye immediately after they step off stage.

So far this fall, The Voice has averaged a 3.5 rating in adults 18-49 and 12.9 million viewers overall in “most current” results from Nielsen Media Research. It continues to rank as television’s #1 alternative series in adults 18-49, a status the show has maintained over the past four seasons.

The Voice hails from MGM Television, Talpa Media USA Inc. and Warner Horizon Television. The series was created by John de Mol, who serves as executive producer along with Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Jay Bienstock, Lee Metzger and Chad Hines.
