Abrams Artists Taps Ashwant Venkatram As Digital Media Agent; R&C Hires Alisa Granz As EVP For Consumer Biz

Abrams Artists Agency has hired Ashwant Venkatram as a digital media agent in its Los Angeles office. He previously founded and ran PeopleTree Legal, a law firm that created business opportunities and negotiated contracts in the digital space. His clients include social media stars Jerry Purpdrank, Jon Paul Piques, Daniel Nguyen (Nampaikid), Max Isidor Jr, Arantza Fahnbulleh and King Keraun. Most star in one of the upcoming shows he packaged: the animated series Superslackers from David Silverman (The Simpsons). “We are delighted to have Ash join our ever expanding digital division,” said Abrams Artists chairman-CEO Harry Abrams. “His expertise in digital strategy, his entrepreneurial energy and his depth of knowledge are incredible assets to the company, and we are thrilled to bring his clients into the fold.” Venkatram will report to SVP and head of the L.A. division Alec Shankman.


Rogers & Cowan has hired veteran Alisa Granz as EVP to spearhead the PR firm’s growing consumer practice, a unit that includes Consumer Packaged Goods, Gaming, Technology, Beauty, Fashion and Entertainment. Most recently SVP at Ketchum, Granz developed integrated campaigns including the “Doritos Crash the Super Bowl” event, one of the first to employ of user-generated content by a global brand. She also served as client director for TOMS, StubHub, Frito-Lay and Activision.
