Kristin Harris Named VP Acquisitions & Distribution At Good Deed Entertainment

EXCLUSIVE: Kristin Harris has moved to Los Angeles-based indie studio Good Deed Entertainment as VP Acquisitions and Distribution. Harris, who has spent about a decade working in the independent distribution space, starts today. She was previously executive director, acquisitions at Cinedigm Entertainment Group where she acquired theatrical titles such as Meadowland, Life and Amateur Night. She left there in February. Prior to her time at Cinedigm, she was a creative executive at Overture Films.

At Good Deed, she will oversee and develop strategies for the company’s acquisitions and distribution efforts and report to president Leonard Shapiro. The hiring comes as Good Deed plans to ramp up its upcoming theatrical release slate, which already includes Growing Up Smith. The company plans to make acquisitions at AFM.

In addition to her duties at GDE, Harris will remain active with UCLA Extension’s Arts and Entertainment program where she currently teaches Marketing and Distribution of Independent Films Across all Platforms.
