Tom Hiddleston Heads To Aardman Animation’s ‘Early Man’

Eric Schwabel

Tom Hiddleston has joined the cast of Aardman Animation’s prehistoric comedy adventure Early Man. He will voice Lord Nooth, a “ridiculously pompous” governor of the Bronze Age town, who is described as a money-loving tyrant and rival to the film’s Stone Age hero Dug, played by Eddie Redmayne.

Studiocanal is fully-financing the project, which is directed by Nick Park, and will be shopping the project to buyers at the American Film Market next month.

Story is set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures and woolly mammoths roamed the earth. Plucky caveman Dug, along with sidekick Hognob, unites his tribe against the might Bronze Age in a battle to beat them at their own game. It’s the first feature from Park since Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

Film is currently shooting in Bristol, England.
