The National Italian American Foundation will fete producer-director duo Joe and Anthony Russo at a black-tie dinner Saturday in Washington DC to cap its 41st annual gala weekend. The brothers will be honored by the group for their “cultural and social impact strengthening the Italian American identity and heritage.” Vice President Joe Biden, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, Tommy Matola, and Robert De Nero are expected to attend the dinner at the Marriott Washington Wardman Park Hotel.

The Cleveland-born Russos add this to a pretty big plate, following up their Captain America: Civil War with back-to-back sequels to The Avengers to bow in May 2018 and May 2019. Also in the works: forming a full-service China production and finance company with Huayi Brothers; adapting cult classic The Warriors as a TV series with Paramount And Hulu; producing STX Entertainment’s 17 Bridges, Fox’s Sex Castle, Fox 2000’s Space Runner, and Michael B. Jordan and MGM’s planned remake of The Thomas Crown Affair.
