Lady Gaga Reveals Upcoming ‘Carpool Karaoke’ Appearance

It seems like it should have happened a lot sooner, but better late than never. Lady Gaga will be making her first The Late Late Show‘s Carpool Karaoke appearance soon, and to prove it, platinum-selling pop singer, Emmy and Oscar nominee, and current American Horror Story cast member announced the news last night on Twitter.

No word yet on when the clip will air or what they’ll be singing. Personally, I hope Corden has a cheeky enough sense of humor to choose a Madonna tune – maybe “Papa Don’t Preach” or “Express Yourself,” followed by Gaga’s “Perfect Illusion” or “Born This Way”. Just kidding, we love you Gaga and to be honest, would actually like to see you take on Paula Abdul.

The Late Late Show host James Corden struck gold in 2015 with his ongoing “Carpool Karaoke” segments, with each new installment going viral, and last month the TV special devoted entirely to it winning an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special. Plenty of musical celebs – and First Lady Michelle Obama – have signed up to sing in Corden’s car, and while Karaoke is often at its best when performed by amateurs, Carpool Karaoke’s greatness is that it involves professional singers. (Which at least means we don’t have to compete with them in local Karaoke clubs.)

The Late Late Show with Jimmy Corden airs Monday through Friday on CBS. Lady Gaga currently appears on American Horror Story: My Roanoke Nightmare.
