Forest Whitaker Cast In Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’; Liza Lapira Joins ‘A Little Something For Your Birthday’


The highly anticipated Disney/Marvel Black Panther film has added Forest Whitaker to the cast. Out February 16, 2018, the Ryan Cooler-directed pic stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther, who made his debut in Captain America: Civil War.  Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Andy Serkis and Winston Duke also co-star. Whitaker was recently cast in Andrew Heckler’s drama Burden and can be next seen in Paramount’s Arrival and Disney’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Liza Lapira has joined the cast of A Little Something for Your Birthday starring Sharon Stone, Ellen Burstyn, Tony Goldwyn, Famke Janssen and Caitlin Fitzgerald. Written and directed by Susan Walter, the coming-of-age comedy is about an aspiring fashion designer struggles to find success and love. Production begins in Los Angeles this week. Most recently, she was seen on the Fox series Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life. Lapira previous film credits include Warner Bros’ Crazy, Stupid, Love with Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, Matt Reeves’s Cloverfield from Paramount and 21 opposite Kevin Spacey and Jim Sturgess.
