Chernin Entertainment Appoints Fabrik’s Kristen Campo As Head Of Television

Chernin Entertainment

Fabrik Entertainment executive Kristen Campo has joined Chernin Entertainment as EVP of Television. She will oversee the TV business of Peter Chernin’s company, reporting to Jenno Topping, President of Film and Television.

Campo replaces Dante Di Loreto, who headed up Chernin Entertainment’s television division as president for the past year. He will transition into a producing deal with the company, which is in the middle of a two-year TV deal with NBCUniversal. The change comes at the tail end of a quiet broadcast selling season for Chernin Entertainment, which has one series on the air, Fox/20th TV comedy New Girl.

“Kristen is an exceptional and discerning executive who has a sharp eye for creating engaging content that breaks through the clutter,” said Topping.

Campo was a partner at Fabrik Entertainment, founded by Mikkel Bondesen and owned by Red Arrow, where she headed Production and Development. While there, she co-produced Fox’s The Good Guys and served as executive producer on AMC/Netflix’s The Killing, NBC’s Odyssey, and FX’s The Comedians.

On the feature side, Chernin Entertainment has produced Rise of the Planet of the Apes and follow-up Dawn of the Planet of the Apes; comedies The Heat and Spy; sci-fi thriller Oblivion; and Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, which topped the most recent weekend at the box office. Upcoming films include Ted Melfi’s Hidden Figures starring Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monáe; the Untitled Mother/Daughter Comedy starring Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn; The Greatest Showman on Earth starring Hugh Jackman; and War for the Planet of the Apes, the third installment in the hit rebooted franchise.
