WGN America has set Tuesday, January 24, for the second-season premiere of its hit original drama series Outsiders.

We’re also getting a peek at Season 2 in a new trailer released ahead of the cast’s appearance Sunday at New York Comic-Con. It features newly named Bren’in, G’win (Gillian Alexy), letting us know in no uncertain terms what happens when you threaten the Farrell clan, who has lived atop Shay Mountain for 200-plus years. “This is our mountain. Our home. It protects us, and we will die for it.” (You get the picture).

This season, the struggle for power and control continues in the rugged hills of Appalachia as the conflict between the clan and the town escalates with the Farrells becoming more isolated than ever before. The uneasy truce that generally had existed between the townspeople and the family came to an end as Big Coal interests headed up the mountain. The standoff at the end of Season 1 continues to have repercussions, putting everyone to the test.

The ensemble cast includes David Morse, Thomas M. Wright, Ryan Hurst, Gillian Alexy, Kyle Gallner, Christina Jackson, Joe Anderson, Francie Swift and Rebecca Harris.

Outsiders, from Sony Pictures TV, is created and written by Peter Mattei, who executive produces alongside Fedora Entertainment’s Peter Tolan and Michael Wimer and Touchy Feely Films’ Paul Giamatti and Dan Carey.

Check out the trailer above, and let us know what you think.
