Donald Trump’s Debate Performance “Sniffles And Nonsense,” Says John Oliver

Donald Trump’s temperament, of which he boasted in his “sniffles and nonsense” performance at the first presidential debate, is that of “a racist toddler coming out of dental surgery,” John Oliver said Sunday on HBO’ Last Week Tonight.

“It’s a temperament that allows you to insist that you won something when you demonstrably lost,” Oliver explained, detailing Trump’s citing of non-scientific online polls to make his point.

Ranting “incoherently” about “having the best temperament” is “a statement that inherently disproves itself,” Oliver said. “It’s like getting a forehead tattoo that says, ‘I have excellent judgment.’” Rather than make his “incredible statement” about his temperament being his greatest attribute, Trump might more believably have told the 84M people who watched that first debate with Hillary Clinton, “I am a small Korean woman,” Oliver snarked.
