Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross Will Compose ‘Patriots Day’ Score

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, the songwriting team who scored The Social Network, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Gone Girl, will compose the score for Peter Berg’s upcoming Patriots Day.

Reznor, founder of the industrial rock powerhouse Nine Inch Nails, and Ross won the Oscar for their Social Network score, and a Grammy for their Dragon Tattoo score. Berg made the Patriots Day announcement via Instagram (see below).

Patriots Day stars Mark Wahlberg, John Goodman, Kevin Bacon, J.K. Simmons and Michelle Monaghan in a drama about the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and its aftermath. Scott Stuber, Mark Wahlberg, Hutch Parker, Dylan Clark, Stephen Levinson, Dorothy Aufiero and Michael Radutzky are producing based on a screenplay by Berg & Matt Cook and Paul Tamasy & Eric Johnson. The film is being co-financed by CBS Films and Lionsgate with the former handling production and marketing and the latter handling distribution.  CAA and Silva Artist Management represent Trent Reznor. Atticus Ross is represented by CAA.
