The psychological thriller centers on an ex-Marine, haunted by a tortured past, who is on the run with a mysterious, troubled woman who witnessed the murder of her husband and parents. The lethal servant of a black ops government agency, corrupt in mind and deed, is their relentless pursuer.

“I’m delighted to be working with Gloria Reuben, and I’m no less delighted by the team that has coalesced around her. Television has become the ideal medium for long multiple-thread novels like Dark Rivers of the Heart, and I look forward to binge-watching this!” said Koontz.

ER alumna Reuben plays Krista Gordon, Elliot’s therapist on Emmy-winning USA series Mr. Robot. She received two Emmy nominations as well as a Golden Globe nom for her role as Jeanie Boulet on ER. She’s repped by APA and Atlas Artists.
