‘True Memoirs Of An International Assassin’ Trailer: Kevin James Wrote The Book On Faux Killer

Kevin James has come full circle from mall cop to ruthless mercenary killer. Well, not really. Here’s a trailer for Netflix’s original movie True Memoirs of an International Assassin, in which the Kevin Can Wait plays Samuel Larson, a mild-mannered would-be author who gets mistaken for a killer-for-hire after his fictional novel about an international assassin is published as a true story. When the book becomes a huge success, he digs the attention. But then suddenly our faux hero is kidnapped, taken out of the country and forced into a presidential assassination plot.

Ol’ Sammy tries to convince his abductors that he is nowhere close to the person they think he is. After all, as Rob Riggle’s CIA character makes clear, “Why would an actual assassin write a book about being an assassin? I mean, it’s beyond stupid.” Check. “Or,” as his agency colleague (Leonard Earl Howze) imparts, “is it so beyond stupid it’s brilliant?” Either way, the writer-killer is rescued by a badass femme (Zulay Henao), and they begin a danger-crammed journey home.

Andy Garcia, Maurice Compte, Andrew Howard, Kelen Coleman, Yul Vasquez and Kim Coates co-star in the pic, which was directed Jeff Wadlow from Jeff Morris’ script. True Memoirs of an International Assassin starts streaming on November 11.
