‘VAYA’ Director Akin Omotoso Inks With APA; Abrams Artists Agency Signs Grandex, Inc.

APA has signed Nigerian-born director Akin Omotoso, who is fresh off the 2016 TIFF world premiere of his film Vaya. In the pic, Omotoso weaves together three separate stories to create a gripping yet compassionate portrait of small-town characters immersed in the intimidating, alluring, and dangerous world of big-city Johannesburg and Soweto, resulting in synthesis of big-city anxieties and aspirations. His other directorial credits include Man On Ground, Tell Me Sweet Something, and God is African. Omotoso is also repped by Andrew Coles at The Mission Entertainment.

Grandex Inc.

Abrams Artists Agency has added Grandex, Inc., an entertainment media company, to its roster.  The company, founded in 2010 by Madison Wickham and Ryan Young, launched Grandex Productions in 2014. Abrams will rep Grandex Inc. in all areas including theatrical, literary, and alternative and digital branding.
