Jamie Lee Curtis To Direct ‘Scream Queens’ Episode

Jamie Lee Curtis is set to direct an episode of Scream Queens, Fox’s comedy-horror series from executive producers Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan.

Curtis will direct episode No. 208 as part of Ryan Murphy’s Half Foundation initiative. The episode is scheduled to begin shooting on October 12 and air in November.

Murphy’s Half Foundation is an initiative that offers jobs, mentorships and scholarships to women, people of color and members of the LGBT community seeking employment in entertainment. The foundation, which Murphy will run through his 20th Century Fox Television-based company, will offer guidance to these often overlooked storytellers. Curtis also will serve as mentor to one of the foundation’s students.

Curtis previously directed a 1992 episode of Anything but Love and a music video, but this will be her first hourlong drama.

Season 2 of Scream Queens graduates from the college campus and into a hospital, the C.U.R.E. Institute, where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation.

Scream Queens is from Ryan Murphy Television and Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision in association with 20th Century Fox Television.
