‘Midnight’s Door,’ New Indie Film A Go From Hannibal Classics And ‘Takers’ Director John Luessenhop – Toronto

EXCLUSIVE: Hannibal Classics and director John Luessenhop have just partnered to bring the thriller Midnight’s Door to the screen. Production is slated to start at year’s in in Birmingham, AL and worldwide sales are being handled right now at Toronto. The story is about a young, hot-shot advertising executive who seemingly has the perfect life but hides a dark secret. Luessenhop’s credits include Takers, the heist thriller that starred Matt Dillion, Idris Elba and the late Paul Walker. The film made a little over $69M worldwide for Screen Gems.

The director will produce the film along with Hannibal Classic’s Rionda Del Castro. The original screenplay was written by Kirsten McCallion. Executive producer are Mark Fasano, Patricia Eberle, Timothy Patrick Cavanaugh, Cam Cannon, Guy Griffithe and Lindsey Roth.

Fasano produced the upcoming Netflix original The True Memoirs of an International Assassin starring Kevin James, and the action-comedy American Ultra starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart. McCallion previously worked with Luessenhop on Texas Chainsaw 3-D and wrote the film Exeter for Blumhouse.

Del Castro produced the upcoming USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage, directed by Mario Van Peebles and starring Nicolas Cage, Thomas Jane and Tom Sizemore.

Luessenhop is repped by Rain Management Group.
