Entourage alum Kevin Connolly is set for a recurring role on Fox’s Pitch, Dan Fogelman’s baseball drama series. Written by Fogelman and Rick Singer and directed by Paris Barclay, Pitch follows Ginny (Kylie Bunbury), a young pitcher who defies the odds when she becomes the first woman to play in the major leagues.

Connolly will play Charlie Graham, the interim Padres president of operations. A former Silicon Valley executive, Charlie is youthful, charming and inspiring. However, his off-beat warmth and enthusiasm belies a steely will and cut-throat bottom line approach to the business of baseball.

Connolly has a long working-history with Fox, having starred in 20th Century Fox TV’s CBS comedy Friends With Better Lives and Fox’s Fantasy Life pilot. “I’ve had a great relationship with Fox over the years and am happy to be back,” said Connolly on his Pitch role. He’s currently directing Emmet/Furla/Oasis’ The Life and Death of John Gotti. Connolly is repped by UTA, 3 Arts Entertainment and Ziffren Brittenham.

Pitch premieres September 22 on Fox.
