Awkward‘s Niko Pepaj has booked a recurring role on VH1’s Daytime Divas (formerly Satan’s Sisters), drama series, based on the 2011 book Satan’s Sisters by Star Jones, one of the original co-hosts of The View. The series is set behind the scenes of a long-running daytime television show (“The Lunch Hour”) chronicling the fireworks that erupt daily between the five female co-hosts. Pepaj will play Leon, a PA on ‘The Lunch Hour’ who spends most of his time looking at his phone. Despite his lack of professionalism, he’s actually quite ambitious. Although he is at times being manipulative, you still find yourself rooting for him. When an opportunity arises, he is quick to take full advantage. He joins previously announced Vanessa Williams, Tichina Arnold, Chloe Bridges Camille Guaty and Fiona Gubelmann. Pepaj recently filmed one of the lead roles in the upcoming feature, The Recall and appeared on the Fox sketch comedy show, Party Over Here. He recently finished his third season on MTV’s Awkward, playing Sergio. He is repped by Vanguard Management Group and Jackoway Tyerman.

Original MadTV cast member Anjelah Johnson is set to guest star on the CW’s revival series. Johnson will appear as fan favorite Bon Qui Qui on the show’s September 6 episode. She joins previously announced MadTV alums Ike Barinholtz, Debra Wilson, Will Sasso, Nicole Sullivan and Bobby Lee, who have appeared on the sketch comedy show this season. Like the original series, based on MAD Magazine and which ran for 14 seasons on Fox, the revival features MadTV‘s signature pop-culture parodies and politically incorrect humor and star up-and-coming comedy voices, as well as appearances by returning cast members.
