‘Snatch’: Luke Pasqualino To Star, Lucien Laviscount To Co-Star In Crackle Series

Coming off playing d’Artagnan on BBC’s The Musketeers, Luke Pasqualino is set as the lead of another series reboot, Snatch. Lucien Laviscount (Scream Queens) also has been cast in the series for Sony’s streaming network Crackle, which is based on the cult 2000 Sony movie of the same name that starred Jason Statham and Brad Pitt.

Pasqualino will play the central character, Albert Hill, with Rupert Grint recently cast as the co-lead, Charlie Cavendish. The cast of the show also includes Dougray Scott. The Musketeers helmer Nick Renton will direct, reuniting with Pasqualino.

Snatch will carry the spirit of the setting in the film, while creating a new world with new characters. Inspired by a real-life heist in London, Snatch centers on a group of twentysomething, up-and-coming hustlers who stumble upon a truckload of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime.

Pasqualino’s Albert is an aspirational young man. He is smart, handsome, charming and a bit of a thinker as well as a doer. He strives to ensure that he doesn’t end up like his father, Vic (Scott). Loyalty, heart and passion are at his core.

Laviscount will play Billy ‘Fuckin’ Ayers, a handsome, aggressive and stubborn boxer.

Production on the 10-episode first season begins next week in Manchester, England. The series will premiere in 2017. Alex De Rakoff, creator and head writer, also serves as executive producer and Helen Flint produces for Little Island Productions.

Snatch is part of a growing drama series portfolio at Crackle, joining StartUp which premieres September 6, and The Art Of More, which will be returning for a second season later this year.

Pasqualino’s series credits also include UK’s Skins and Our Girl as well as Showtime’s Borgias. He is repped by Innovative Artists, The BWH Agency in London and Authentic Talent and Literary Management.

Laviscount, who played Earl Grey on the first season of Fox’s Scream Queens, next stars in STX’s horror film Bye Bye Man. Additionally, he is the lead of UK crime drama Honey Trapbeing released by Ava DuVernay’s film collective Array, and the male lead of Lionsgate’s Coco, opposite Azealia Banks. He is repped by Industry Entertainment, Gersh, Waring & McKenna and attorney Adam Kaller.
