‘The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey’ – First Look At CBS Docuseries

We’re getting the first look at CBS’ event docuseries The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey (previously Case Closed) from Emmy-winning executive producer Tom Forman and Critical Content.

The series reunites the original investigators in one of the highest-profile unsolved murders in recent history to re-examine the tragic case 20 years later.

Police found the 6-year-old beauty queen’s body in the basement of the family’s Boulder, CO, home about eight hours after she was reported missing the day after Christmas 1996. She had been struck on the head and strangled. The case remains unsolved, even after several grand jury hearings, and it continues to generate public and media interest.

The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey joins several other projects about the infamous murder case. Lifetime has original movie Who Killed JonBenet? set for premiere in the fall, Investigation Discovery has a three-night television event series premiering on September 12; and there also is a feature titled Casting JonBenet, directed by Kitty Green and produced by James Schamus’ Symbolic Exchange, in the works.

The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey will air in three parts. Night 1 premieres Sunday, September 18 (8:30-10:30 PM, ET/8:00-10:00 PM, PT), followed by Night 2 on Monday, September 19 (9-11 PM, ET/PT) and concludes Sunday, September 25 (8:30-10:30 PM, ET/PT), on CBS.
