Simone Biles Scores ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Set Invite With Olympic Gold Win


Simone Biles made it gold medal official tonight at the Rio Olympics that she’s the top gymnast in the world but she might be the top Pretty Little Liars fan too – and the Freeform series wants to honor the champion and the rest of the Final Five.

With her strong 62.198 points victory in the women’s individual final Thursday, Biles was invited by PLL creator I. Marlene King to come and visit the Cali set of the show. “Hey Simone, I heard you are a PLL fan, well we are huge fans of yours and everybody there,” said King online and …well, watch it here:

And what did the Olympic champ reply? “YES X27238833,” tweeted Biles, who likely won over even more fans when she asserted after her win that “I’m not the next Usain Bolt or Michael Phelps. I’m the first Simone Biles.”

As PLL star Shay Mitchell offered a “You go girly” of her own on Twitter, King added another online congrats later on with:

As the silver went to teammate Aly Raisman, other gold shout-outs to Biles tonight came from the likes of Uzo Aduba, Zac Efron, Hillary Clinton and Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones, who is now down in Rio as a NBC commentator.  On a night of another gold for Michael Phelps and a barrier breaking and stunning swimming gold for Simone Manuel plus the debut of a new Roque One: A Star Wars Story trailer among other highlights, take a look at how some of the heavyhitters were directing their spotlight:
