‘Saturday Night Live’ Featured Player Jon Rudnitsky To Depart

Jon Rudnitsky joins Saturday Night Live veterans Taran Killam & Jay Pharoah on the list of cast members who won’t be returning next season, the venerable NBC late-night sketch comedy’s 42nd.

Rudnitsky joined SNL as a featured player at the beginning of last season, the only new cast addition for Season 41 when there were no departures.

Among Rudnitsky’s more memorable skits was a Dirty Dancing parody. His list of impersonations on the show included Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, Tom Cruise and Vladimir Putin.

Rudnitsky is a stand-up comedian who won the 2012 Laugh Factory’s Laugh Bowl college comedy competition and performed with The Groundlings before joining SNL.
