Paul Anderson, Liam Cunningham & Rutger Hauer Have ‘24 Hours To Live’; Christopher Lambert Joins ‘Kickboxer: Retaliation’

EXCLUSIVE: Paul Anderson, Liam Cunningham and Rutger Hauer have joined the cast of 24 Hours to Live, a thriller from Fundamental Films and Thunder Road starring Ethan Hawke and Chinese actress Xu Qing. Production is under way in Cape Town, South Africa on the pic, which follows a career assassin who is given a chance at redemption after his employer brings him back to life temporarily, just after being killed on the job. No details on the roles for Anderson, Cunningham or Hauer. Peaky Blinders star Anderson appeared in the 2015 features The Revenant and In the Heart of the Sea and recently wrapped Hostiles opposite Christian Bale and Rosamund Pike. Cunningham plays Davos Seaworth on Game of Thrones, and his credits include TV’s Titanic: Blood and Steel and Outcasts. Hauer’s long list of credits range from Blade Runner and The Hitcher to TV’s True Blood and the upcoming Mata Hari. He next appears in Luc Besson’s Valerian.

Highlander veteran Christopher Lambert has joined Jean-Claude Van Damme in the sequel Kickboxer: Retaliation. Picking up where the upcoming Kickboxer: Vengeance left off, it finds Kurt Sloan (Alain Moussi) in Thailand fending for his life against a new formidable foe (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson). Lambert will play Thomas Moore, a wealthy ex pat who in his youth was a consummate martial artist and now is the Godfather of Underground fighting in Thailand. Dimitri Logothetis, who owns the rights to the Kickboxer franchise, is the writer-director on Retaliation. Principal photography on location in Thailand, with additional filming set for California and Nevada. Lambert starred in the Highlander film trilogy, and his recent credits include Hail, Caesar! and NCIS: Los Angeles. He next appears in the miniseries Mata Hari and feature The Broken Key.
