‘Powers’ Canceled After Two Seasons On PlayStation Network

PlayStation Network has opted not to go forward with a third season of Powers. Creator-executive producer Brian Michael Bendis tweeted the news:

However, Bendis noted that the comic book iteration of Powers would continue at Marvel:

Inspired by the Powers graphic novels of the same name, the series followed the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who are assigned to investigate cases involving people with extraordinary abilities, referred to as “Powers.” Season 2 continued to follow the detectives and the Powers Division team as they faced commercialized superhumans who impose their power on the public, which both worships and fears them.

Powers was produced by Jinxworld and Circle of Confusion in association with Sony Pictures Television. Charlie Huston, Remi Aubuchon, Bendis, Michael Avon Oeming, David Engel, Lawrence Mattis, David Alpert and Frank Frattaroli serve as executive producers.
