‘The Bachelorette’ Ratings Hit High In Season Finale, ‘Running Wild’ Debuts Steady With 2015

Well, there was no Republican National Convention or Democratic National Convention on Monday, but there was still a lot of love in the air with the Season 12 finale of The Bachelorette (2.5/9). JoJo Fletcher picked her man, and it helped ABC scored season highs and an overall win for the night.

Easily the night’s highest rated and most watched (8.43 million) show, the two-hour Bachelorette season ender was up 32% among adults 18-49 and 31% in total viewers compared with its July 25 episode. Compared to the Season 11 that ended on July 27, 2015, this year’s finale was even with the fast affiliate result – which was adjusted up a tenth in the final numbers, as this year’s might be also. The Bachelorette: After The Final Rose (2.3/8) was also even with the 2015 show.

Overall, ABC won the relatively competitive night with a 2.4/9 18-49 rating and 8.21 million viewers.

As one show went out for the season, another debuted for its latest cycle with Running Wild With Bear Grylls (1.1/4). The third-season opener of the NBC survival series was down a tenth from the July 13, 2015 start of Season 2. Running Wild’s lead-in American Ninja Warrior (1.6/6) was even with last week, as was Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance: Next Generation (0.7/3).

CBS and the CW were all encores Monday.
