‘The Son’: J. Quinton Johnson, Nick Stevenson & Elizabeth Frances Join AMC Series

UPDATED: Elizabeth Frances (Drunktown’s Finest) is set as a series regular and J. Quinton Johnson (Dirty Dancing) and Nick Stevenson (Orange Is The New Black) have booked recurring roles opposite Pierce Brosnan in AMC’s upcoming drama series The Son.

Based on the book by Philipp Meyer and written by Meyer, Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy, The Son is a multi-generational epic tale of the story of America’s birth as a superpower through the bloody rise and fall of one Texas family.

Elizabeth Frances

Johnson will play Neptune, the McCullough’s trusted ranch hand who is fiercely loyal to Eli McCullough (Brosnan). Stevenson is Fred Bernhauer, a handsome, powerful businessman interested in the oil prospects of the McCulloughs. Frances will portray Prairie Flower, a member of the Comanche tribe and Eli’s first love. At first, she sees Eli as nothing more than a slave, but once he is fully integrated into the tribe, she is the first to notice there is something more to him.

Johnson recently wrapped ABC’s Dirty Dancing remake with Debra Messing, Abigail Breslin, and Sarah Hyland. Earlier this year, he made his film debut in Richard Linklater’s Everybody Wants Some!!

Johnson is repped by Atlas Artists, Gersh, and Collier Talent Agency. Stevenson is with Heather Collier of Collier Talent Agency and CESD. Frances is repped by KMR and Shelter Entertainment.
