Martin Dingle Wall Joins Simon West’s ‘Salty’; Carter MacIntyre Climbs Aboard ‘Hunter Killer’

Exclusive: Australian actor Martin Dingle Wall has joined the cast of Simon West’s Salty opposite Antonio Banderas and Olga Kurylenko. Known for such Oz TV series as Upper Middle Bogan, Home And Away and Cops LAC, he also recently starred in feature Strangerland. Salty, which began principal photography last month in Chile, sees Banderas as an aging rock star and reformed sex addict married to a supermodel who is abducted by pirates while on vacation. The story is adapted from the novel by Mark Haskell Smith. Carnaby Sales & Distribution is handling world rights on the film. Deals were closed in Cannes for the Middle East, China and Eastern Europe. Wall is repped by Bohemia Group and Morrissey Management.


Carter MacIntyre has landed a prominent role Millennium Films’s upcoming naval action thriller, Hunter Killer, joining a cast that includes Gerard Butler, Common, and Gary Oldman. The film tracks the crew of a US Naval submarine tasked with rescuing the Russian Prime Minister after he’s deposed and held prisoner in a coup. MacIntyre is playing Edwards, second in command of the sub who is only beginning his working relationship with its new commander. MacIntyre’s previous credits include USA Network’s Benched, NBC’s Undercovers, the syndicated series American Heiress, Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva, and guest spots on CSI, The Tomorrow People, and others. He’s repped by Greene & Associates Talent Agency, Principato Young Entertainment and Myman Greenspan.
