Michael Trucco & Ryan McPartlin Sail With ‘Hunter Killer’; Wendy Braun Joins ‘The Clapper’

EXCLUSIVE: Michael Trucco and Ryan McPartlin have boarded Original Film’s submarine thriller Hunter Killer. It stars Gerard Butler as an untested sub captain teamed with an elite military unit to rescue the Russian president (Gary Oldman) from an ongoing military coup. Billy Bob Thornton, Common, and Taylor John Smith also star. Trucco will play weapons specialist Devin Hall, and McPartlin is Matt Johnstone, an ex-SEAL and CIA medic within the OGA (Other Government Agency) division.

Trucco was a regular on Killer Women and Fairly Legal, and other TV credits include Grandfathered, Revenge and How I Met Your Mother. Repped by UTA and McKeon/Myones Entertainment, he next appears in feature Bye Bye Man. McPartlin played Captain Awesome on NBC’s Chuck, and his recent credits include Devious Minds, Mystery Girls and Hart of Dixie. He’s repped by Gersh and Primary Wave Entertainment.

Wendy Braun

Wendy Braun has booked a role in The Clapper, writer-director Dito Montiel’s comedy that also stars Ed Helms, Tracy Morgan, Amanda Seyfried, Russell Peters and Adam Levine. The story follows Eddie Krumble (Helms), a professional clapper for infomercials who gets plucked by a late-night TV host to be on his talk show. The notoriety that his 15 minutes of fame brings ends up costing Krumble his job as well as a budding relationship with a girl who works at a gas station. Braun’s credits include It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Vital Signs and Faking It. She next appears on Season 2 of IFC’s Documentary Now! She is repped by the House of Representatives and Judy O Productions.
