Wrecked creators/executive producers Justin and Jordan Shipley have signed a two-year first-look deal with TBS to develop and produce new projects. Under the pact, they will continue to produce their single-camera comedy series Wrecked, which just received an early second season renewal.

Described as Lost meets It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Wrecked chronicles the aftermath of a plane crashing on a remote island. The Shipleys wrote the pilot script on spec and say the ensemble comedy is “definitely not just Lost with jokes.” It follows two best friends, who, along with an extremely diverse group of survivors, must adjust to life in a dangerous new world that poses unique threats.which they mostly bring upon themselves. Danny and Owen, who weren’t quite killing it pre-crash, are given the chance to finally be the kind of men they’ve always wanted to be. No longer plugged in, they become the unexpected leaders of this new society devoid of such comforts as social media, wi-fi, indoor plumbing and fast food restaurants.

Wrecked, which premiered on June 14, is the No. 1 new cable comedy in Live+7 for adults 18-49, according to Nielsen and TBS, and is currently reaching 5.2 million viewers across TBS’ linear, VOD, digital and mobile platforms.

The Shipleys are repped by CAA, Haven Entertainment, and Melissa Fox at Hansen Jacobson.
