Disney Moves Jack & The Beanstalk Toon ‘Gigantic’ In Wake Of ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Sequel News

With the news of the Wreck-It Ralph sequel being dated March 9, 2018, Disney has now moved its Jack and the Beanstalk animated feature Gigantic off that date to the Thanksgiving 2018 stretch, Wednesday, November 21.

Disney announced the news about Gigantic at D23 last summer with Nathan Greno, who co-directed 2010’s Tangled, directing and Dorothy McKim (Meet The Robinsons) producing.

In Gigantic, Jack goes up the tall plant and teams with an 11-year-old girl giant named Inma. He agrees to help the 60-footer find her way home. But he doesn’t account for her super-sized personality. On top of the beanstalk, Jack encounters an entire world of giants from lots of different cultures, with the bad ones being nicknamed the Storm Giants. Original music for Gigantic is being written by Oscar-winning Frozen husband and wife team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
