Twentieth Century Fox Television has tapped The Firm’s Jeremy Summers to head up the studio’s music team as EVP of Music.
In his new role, Summers will oversee the music on all series produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Fox 21 Television Studios. His purview will range from helping to identify music talent and negotiating deals to hiring composers and music supervisors for pilots and series. The position was previously held by Geoff Bywater, who opted for the voluntary buyout offered earlier this year.
Most recently, Summers served in dual roles as General Manager of Jeff Kwatinetz’ TV, Film and Music group, The Firm and as President of the company’s record label, Prospect Park Records. Summers oversaw all signings, new and developing artists, as well as shepherding the existing roster. Before that, Summers, a life-long musician himself and son of the late legendary music exec Joe Summers, was EVP, Chief Marketing Officer for Interscope Records.
