Neil Cavuto, Fox News and Fox Business anchor, is recuperating from yesterday’s open heart surgery, Fox has confirmed. Cavuto has been off the air since May 31, and is expected to return at an unspecified date.

“Neil Cavuto had open heart surgery yesterday and came through it with flying colors,” said a Fox News spokesperson. “Knowing Neil, he’ll be back as soon as he can, but he is slated to return to hosting his three programs on Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network later this year. Everyone here is wishing him a speedy recovery.”

The surgery was the latest health setback for the 57-year-old anchor, who has battled cancer and Multiple Sclerosis.
