David Goyer To Direct Remake Of German Film ‘Who Am I’

EXCLUSIVE: David Goyer is set to direct a Warner Bros remake of Who Am I (Kein System Ist Sicher), the Baran bo Odar-directed film about a man who falls in with a group of hackers in Berlin who attempt to gain notoriety by disrupting the public order. The remake is being scripted by Dan Wiedenhaupt, who wrote the Albert Hughes-directed The Solutrean, the Ice Age survival tale that is Studio 8’s first major homegrown film.

The film will be produced by Goyer and his Phantom Four banner, along with Kevin Turen and Langley Park’s Kevin McCormick. Phantom Four’s upcoming pics include Miles,┬áthe Open Road/Lakeshore pic written and directed by Oliver Daly based on his short; the Max Landis-scripted Deeper, which sold at auction to MGM with Bradley Cooper starring and Kornel Mundruczo directing; and The Breach, a directing vehicle for Goyer which he’s producing with Lorenzo di Bonaventura. Phantom Four also has the Nate Parker-directed Sundance sensation The Birth Of A Nation coming in the fall.

Goyer, who co-wrote Batman V Superman and had a hand in the Dark Knight trilogy, is repped by WME. Wiedenhaupt, a former Atlas Entertainment exec who also adapted Reviver for Legendary, is with WME and Madhouse.
