‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ Headed To Comic-Con

James Gunn and Chris Pratt took to Facebook Live today from the set of Disney/Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, where the director officially wrapped Pratt’s portion of the 90-day shoot. The pic has a May 5, 2017 release date, which would make it a prime candidate to make an appearance at the annual San Diego Comic-Con this summer. Gunn confirmed the pic’s travel plans in the video.

“We … are coming to San Diego Comic-Con this year — we’re gonna be there, I’m gonna be there, Chris Pratt is going to be there, a bunch of the gang is going to be there, and we’re gonna show you guys something pretty cool,” he said. Comic-Con runs July 21-24 this year.

Pratt, meanwhile, got right to underplaying expectations for the sequel to the 2014 Marvel Studios hit, which grossed $773.3 million worldwide. “This is gonna be the greatest spectacle film of all time,” Pratt said of the new pic while addressing the crew and the Facebook camera.
