Near-Death Memoir ‘My Descent Into Death’ Acquired By Alcon

Alcon Entertainment has optioned My Descent Into Death, the 2005 book by Howard Storm that details his account of his near-death experience. It will be turned into a supernatural thriller based on the book to be adapted by short film writer-director Jinder Ho. Storm’s account is different from similar tellings of the near-death experience as his is a journey through Hell.

Mark Clayman (The Pursuit Of Happyness) brought the book to Alcon and will produce along with Alcon principals Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove. Head of Development Carl Rogers will oversee with creative executive Alex Tompkins.

Alcon’s current projects include the Blade Runner sequel now in preproduction and the road trip comedy Bastards with Owen Wilson and Ed Helms.

Jinder is repped by CAA and The Mission.
