Propagate has beefed up its production team with the hire of Fameless EP Kevin Healey as Head of Alternative Programming and the promotion of Brett-Patrick Jenkins to Head of Development.
Healey, who specializes in the hidden camera/comedy and horror/comedy genres, will oversee the Alternative Programming team and manage Propagate’s slate of unscripted and alternative content. He joins Propagate from eOne. Healey’s credits range from the TruTV sketch comedy Fameless and NBC’s Betty White’s Off Their Rockers to Syfy’s Scare Tactics and YouTube Red’s Scare Pewdiepie.
“Kevin is one of the most sought after creatives in the alternative content world, and has written, developed and produced an incredible range of acclaimed programs,” Propagate co-founders and co-CEOs Ben Silverman and Howard T. Owens said. “As we continue our aggressive push into the unscripted programming space, we are thrilled to have him at the helm, leading our talented alternative development team and programming strategy.”
Jenkins will oversee the Alternative Development department. He has developed and produced more than 1,000 hours of television for networks including HBO, History, Lifetime, Discovery and, most recently, Face Off for Syfy.
Propagate’s slate includes Apple’s first original unscripted series being produced in partnership with musician and tech entrepreneur will.i.am, along with docuseries Unprotected for Oxygen, Evil Genius for History, FYI’s Vivica A. Fox docuseries My So-Called Simple Life (working title) and Animal ER for National Geographic Wild.
