Fox’s James Oh Joins Jerry Bruckheimer Television As SVP

Former Fox SVP Drama Programming and Development James Oh has joined Warner Bros TV-based Jerry Bruckheimer Television as SVP.

Oh, a 18-year Fox veteran, was among those eligible for a buyout package under 21st Century Fox’s recent voluntary buyout program. He was well liked at Fox and could’ve stayed but opted to take the offer about two months ago. His JBT appointment comes days after the buyouts became final.

Oh recently worked with the JBT team, led by president Jonathan Littman, on the development and launch of the company’s Fox drama series Lucifer, which was renewed for a second season.

“We came to know James while he was at Fox and he was invaluable to the success of Lucifer,” said Littman. “We are thrilled to have him join our team.”

At JBT, Oh also will work alongside EVP KristieAnne Reed.

Oh started at Fox as a research analyst before transferring into programming and development. He spent years in current programming, rising to SVP and head of the department in 2013 before segueing to his most recent job as SVP Drama. He had day-to-day oversight of such Fox series as Empire, Lucifer, Bones, House and 24 and was closely involved in the development of upcoming series 24: Legacy and Star and 2014’s Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey.
