‘Masters Of Sex’, ‘Shameless’ & ‘The Affair’ Get Fall Premiere Dates On Showtime

Showtime has announced fall premiere dates for drama series Masters of Sex and The Affair and comedy series Shameless.

The fourth season of Masters of Sex will premiere at 10 PM Sunday, September 11. The historical drama had debuted in July the past two years, on the same date as crime drama Ray Donovan. Season 7 of Shameless arrives at 9 PM Sunday, October 2, and Season 3 of The Affair will premiere at 10 PM November 20. The three series will be available on Showtime on-air, on demand and over the Internet.

Masters of Sex stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan as pioneering human sexuality researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson. Season 4 will begin in 1968 and take viewers into the “swinging ’70s,” during which time the characters will take on new partners both professionally, personally and sexually. Caitlin FitzGerald and Annaleigh Ashford also star. The series from Sony TV is executive produced by Michelle Ashford, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Amy Lippman and Judith Verno.

William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum star in Shameless, which follows the dysfunctional Gallagher clan. It moves up to Homeland‘s October debut frame from its usual early-January bow. SEASON 6 SPOILER ALERT: Last season, the family threw narcissistic patriarch Frank (Macy) off a bridge into the Chicago river after he showed up loaded to Fiona’s (Rossum) wedding and ruined her big day with a big revelation. Jeremy Allen White, Ethan Cutkosky, Shanola Hampton, Steve Howey, Emma Kenney, Cameron Monaghan and Isidora Goreshter co-star. John Wells, Christopher Chulack, Nancy M. Pimental, Krista Vernoff, Etan Frankel and Sheila Callaghan are the EPs.

Episode 203The Affair follows an extramarital situation as seen through distinctly different perspectives: the man, the woman and their respective spouses. Ruth Wilson, Dominic West, Maura Tierney and Joshua Jackson star in the drama exec produced by creators Sarah Treem and Hagai Levi along with Jeffrey Reiner.
