Alicia Coppola has joined the cast of Cowgirl’s Story, a military family drama from actress-producer Bailee Madison. Coppola will play Lt. Helen Rhones, a helicopter pilot in Afghanistan and mom to Madison’s Dusty Rhodes. Written, directed and co-produced by Timothy Armstrong and inspired by Louisa May Alcott’s classic Little Women, Cowgirl’s Story tells the stories of high school cowgirls holding down the home front while their military parents are on duty in Afghanistan. Coppola is best known for her roles in Jericho and Teen Wolf. She’s repped by APA, Leslie Allan-Rice Management and attorney Dave Feldman.

Johnathon Schaech has landed roles in director Steven C. Miller’s thriller Philly Fury and director Hector Vincens’ Day of the Dead remake. Written by Jason Mosberg, Philly Fury stars Nicolas Cage as JP, a Philadelphia businessman and mobster whose deadbeat brother Mikey (Schaech) is kidnapped for a large ransom. Randall Emmett and George Furla’s Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films are producing. Day of the Dead, written by Jeffrey Reddick, is a remake of George R. Romero’s 1985 chiller from Millennium Films and Campbell Grobman Films. Schaech will play the half-human/half-zombie Max. Avi Lerner, Boaz Davidson and James Dudelson are producers. Schaech is repped by APA, RMS Productions, and attorney Jason Hendler.
