Medium alum Jake Weber has signed with Abrams Artists Agency. The London-born actor appeared on FX’s Tyrant, played Wyoming Gov. John Campbell on AMC’s Hell on Wheels and co-starred on HBO’s The Mind of the Married Man. Weber is best known for playing Joe DuBois, the husband of series lead Patricia Arquette on CBS’ Medium for its entire seven-year run. Other recent credits include TV’s The Blacklist, Secrets and Lies and The Following and features Learning to Drive, Hungry Hearts and White House Down. Next up is the feature Wetlands, starring Anthony Mackie and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. Weber continues to be managed by Framework Entertainment.
CAA has hired Talitha Watkins, a veteran marketer who most recently was VP Multicultural at Universal Pictures. The agency said she will help to build out its multicultural business and capabilities as well as create enterprise opportunities around diverse talent. The marketing veteran will report to Christy Haubegger, who leads the agency’s multicultural business efforts. Watkins spent the past six years at Universal, working across all marketing divisions to maximize the studio’s outreach efforts to African-American audiences. Before that, she was an Assistant General Manager with Telepictures Productions and spent three years at SiTV (now Fuse network).
