‘Captain America: Civil War’ Monday Higher Than ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’

Captain America: Civil War Box Office

The Disney/Marvel Captain America threequel, according to early morning industry estimates, clocked $13.36M yesterday. While that figure isn’t a Monday record by any means, it is higher than the $13.2M made by Avengers: Age Of Ultron a year ago, as well as Iron Man 3‘s Monday ($11.3M). It also kicks Warner Bros./DC’s Superman Returns ($12.9M) and Man of Steel ($12.6M) in the butt. Through four days, Civil War is at $192.5M, 6% behind Ultron. Disney will have official figures later this morning. Yesterday, we assessed how Civil War is poised to be the highest-grossing live action film of  summer 2016.

Internationally, through Monday Captain America: Civil War has grossed $512.8M and just surpassed $100M in China with a total of $104.6M. Its next highest territory is South Korea with $54.3M. Globally, the picture now stands at $705.3M … and climbing.
