EXCLUSIVE: Hot off his buzzy role in Tribeca’s opening-night film, Kicks star Jahking Guillory has signed with Innovative Artists.
He played the lead role of 15-year-old Brandon, who covets a pair of sneakers that he thinks will help him escape the reality of being poor. After working hard to get the shoes, they are snatched by a local hood (Kofi Siriboe). Brandon and his two buddies (Christopher Jordan Wallace and Christopher Meyer) set out to retrieve them. Focus Kicks will screen June 8 at the Los Angeles Film Festival ahead of its summer release via Focus World.
Guillory, next appears in Smartass, an indie from writer-director Jena Serbu, continues to be managed by Starr Andreeff at MJMG.
