Sharon Bordas has joined Lifetime as VP, Scripted Development. Based in Los Angeles, Bordas will develop and oversee production of scripted series for Lifetime, reporting to Liz Gateley, Lifetime’s EVP and Head of Programming.
Bordas, who comes from production company MarVista Entertainment, will bolster Lifetime’s scripted series ranks. The network is still looking for a replacement of SVP Nina Lederman, who left last September.
Bordas had served as EVP, Production and Development at MarVista since 2010. While there, she oversaw the Lifetime original movie A Deadly Adoption, starring Will Ferrell and Kristin Wiig; as well as Satanic, featuring Sarah Hyland, which is being distributed by Magnolia; and Most Likely To Die, which will be released theatrically in May. She also executive produces Lifetime’s recently picked up two-hour pilot Sea Change.
“Sharon is a passionate and prolific television producer who has great taste and is able to attract top talent to everything she touches,” Gateley. “She’s a go-getter with a proven success record, producing and shaping ambitious projects such as A Deadly Adoption and our recently greenlit pilot, Sea Change.”
Prior to joining MarVista, Bordas was a television writer.
