Matthew Modine’s Daughter Plays A Call Girl In His Comedy Short ‘Super Sex’: Tribeca Studio

Matthew Modine’s daughter Ruby asked her father if she could play the prostitute in his latest short film Super Sex, which played the Tribeca Film Festival. Modine wrote the script based on a joke fellow actor Eli Wallach told. “I wrote up a screenplay expanding the idea a bit,” explained Modine at the Deadline Photo Studio. “I showed it to Ruby who said it was pretty good. She said, ‘I want to play the prostitute.’” In Super Sex, a brother and sister decide to get their father, played by Ed Asner, an unusual birthday present. The two find him a prostitute. “I show up at the house to have sex with Ed Asner,” said Ruby Modine. “It was interesting after reading the script because I immediately formulated in my mind who would play each character. I wanted to work with Kevin [Nealon] and Elizabeth [Perkins] so badly…And, I think everyone wants to play a young prostitute at some point.” Ruby and Matthew Modine mentioned Jane Fonda in Klute and Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman as among their favorite movies featuring a prostitute. “There’s more actresses who’ve been nominated for playing prostitutes than any other type of character,” added Matthew Modine.
