‘Bye Bye Man’ Release Date Shifted Again By STX Entertainment

EXCLUSIVE: The Bye Bye Man, the STX Entertainment horror film that the company previously had moved up from October of this year to June 3, has just been pushed out of the summer and will now go on December 9.

The change moves the film off the same weekend as the next installment of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle franchise. It now will battle Paramount’s DreamWorks comedy Office Christmas Party.

Bye Bye Man was directed by Stacy Title and stars Douglas Jones, Carrie-Anne Moss and Faye Dunaway. It was written by Jonathan Penner, who adapted it from the short story The Bridge to Body Island by Robert Damon Schneck. The story follows three college students who unwittingly unleash a supernatural evil known as the Bye Bye Man.

The project is being produced by Intrepid’s Trevor Macy as well as Simon Horsman and Jeffrey Soros and co-produced in Melinda Nishioka.
